2) Why Not Hire an Unlicensed Contractor? RED FLAGS

• don’t hire a contracter with an out of state license plate
• ASK a contractor for license and check it, should have it readily available, it’s illegal for a contractor to work without a license, hotline which encourages to snitch, check contractors state board
• check insurances: 1) workman’s comp: says independent worker but actually brings a worker but it didn’t cover the other person in case of injuries 2) liability
• you’re legally not allowed to take more than 10% or $1000 with the signature of contract of the total
